“Betza” is a young Mexican photographer originally from Zacatecas. Her photos are from Mexico and many other countries. In her own words:

Since I was a little girl, I have had an interest in photography. When I was 11 years old, my father gave me an old camera that didn't work perfectly. Somehow I managed to use it for quite a long time, and I have pictures of many vacations. I always saved my own money to buy more film. I have some really good pictures taken with that camera: bad quality but the screening and composition were very much to my liking.

Later, at age 14, I helped my mom at home in exchange for some pocket money, and I saved for around 4 months to buy a camera. It was a simple camera, but I was excited because it was a 35 mm Minolta.

After finishing my studies I started taking photography lessons at the visual arts faculty of my university. The course lasted a year and a half, but I still have half a year to compete. And so I started my life as a photographer...
